A small business with passion

My Story.

The Biltong Deli started as a simple idea — create a little space where people walk in, feel at ease and walk out with something genuinely lekker in their hands.

How it began

From a dream "one day"
to a shop on Sixth Street.

I've always loved good snacks, good company and a cosy, friendly shop atmosphere. After years of dreaming about "one day" opening a deli, I finally decided it was time to hang up the sign and start filling the shelves.

In the beginning it was just me, a few jars and packets, and a lot of nerves. Slowly but surely, more biltong, droëwors, jams, crumbly fudge and homebakes found their place on the shelves — and then the most important part arrived: the customers.

Today I run The Biltong Deli with the help of two wonderful women who know the regulars, greet everyone with a smile, and care about the little details just as much as I do.

The shop's character

What matters to me.

Three small things that quietly shape the deli's atmosphere — and the reason regulars keep coming back.

01

Kindness first.

A quick hello, a laugh, a chat about your day — the small moments are just as important as the products on the shelves.

02

Honest, tasty products.

The deli is filled with things I'm proud to recommend — biltong, sweets, jars, pies and snacks I would happily take home myself.

03

A welcoming space.

Whether you're a regular or walking in for the first time, you deserve to feel comfortable, unhurried and at home.

A few snapshots.

The shelves, the team, the customers — the little moments that make the deli what it is.

From my shop to your home.

Every jar, packet and scoop that leaves The Biltong Deli becomes part of someone's snack drawer, road trip, movie night or family get-together. That thought still means a lot to me.

Thank you for supporting this little deli. You're not just buying biltong or sweets — you're keeping a warm, local shop alive, one visit at a time.
